About Lois

Macrobiotic Health Coach

Based in Greenwich Village in New York City, Lois Jackson is a Level 3 graduate of the Kushi Institute of Macrobiotics in Becket, MA and a Certified Sivananda Yoga Instructor.

After a 25 year career in banking and finance, she decided to put all the diet and nutritional advice she had ever received behind her and explore "macro bios" or long great life...as expounded by Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine (3rd century B.C.).

Fast forward to the 20th century when Georges Ohsawa and Michio Kushi had taken up the reins, and the path led to the Kushi Institute, where she received eye-opening training on what really works for optimal health and healing.

Now she wants to share that with you!

She looks forward to working with anyone who wants to improve their physical health and feel great!

About Macrobiotics

What are Macrobiotics? The simplest way to put it is that it’s a universal way of health and longevity that is best known for its dietary approach which focuses on eating whole grains, beans, fresh vegetables and fruits, and sea vegetables…which are high in minerals.

This dietary approach has been used to achieve optimal health and well-being, and in many instances, cure a wide range of illnesses by making adjustments in our eating habits. Unlike ‘modern’ Western medicine, which focuses on the symptom, Macrobiotics focuses on the underlying cause of the illness.
